Weekly Produce Pick-Up

Local, Fresh, Premium, Delicious!

Around the holidays, we dropped off some produce and homemade chocolate chip cookies to our neighbors. Aunty told us, “You would have a captivated audience if you started a CSA or produce pick-up program.” We  loved the idea and wanted to help out the community if possible.

CAN!

We expanded our home garden and created this program to both support our local community of Ka'u and to provide affordable access to fresh, Hawai`i Island grown produce.

Choose from two sizes, Ohana or Regular.

Read below to learn more about how it works.

Why & How We Grow

Feeding our family with the best possible food is important to us. We would like to share this experience with others. Use of regenerative farming methods is  vital to creating our high quality end products and protecting the 'aina.

All of the produce is grown in organic, microbe-rich, living soil that is enhanced with compost. Our farm-produced, premium  compost contains pruned plant parts from all around the farm (overgrown herbs, squash leaves, fruit tree branches, corn stalks, etc.), produce scraps, egg shells, and our chicken’s manure. This compost feeds the plants and acts as mulch.

 We use essential oils, natural soap, and strategic inter-planting methods to aid in pest management.

How It Works

You will receive one box/bag of produce on each week of your subscription. Common produce items include squashes, beans, cucumber,  eggplant, lettuce, sweet potato, celery, tomatoes, radish, beet, turnip, cooking greens, carrots, corn, citrus, and herbs. Selection varies by season. Summer items may include summer squash, zucchini, and melons. Winter items may include soybean, winter squash, and pumpkin.

We offer two options:

Ohana Size (8-10 produce items)
Weekly  = $40 per week

Regular Size (4-6 produce items)

Weekly  = $20 per week

Cash or Card Payment. Card payments incur the pass along GET 4.712% tax rate as well as a $2 fee to help cover the cost of our point-of-sale system.

Pick-Up is scheduled for every Tuesday between the hours of 3 pm and 6 pm.

All pick-ups are assumed automatically continued each week until we receive your written or verbal notice to cancel.
